dc.description.abstract In recent years, smart phones and other mobile technologies have become ubiquitous. With their rapidly expanding uses, the number of people who own mobile device has increased many folds. Students ruin a lot of books by making notes on them. Using this application student can make online notes using their android mobile/tablet. Now students will not have to search the web for different definitions, articles or detail of any topic. Everything will be available on their mobile/tablet through this app. The application allows the user to type in and record notes with reference to a line(s), paragraph(s), page(s) or chapter(s) and store them on a centralized server. Users can select any text and perform web search using this Android application. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is used to extract text from any selected line. After the text is extracted user has the option to add textual notes, record audio note or do web search. After that these notes are saved on a centralized server. To retrieve notes user has two option, either he can do manual search by entering book name or he can do auto search i-e user take the camera over the page and select any line or paragraph. If there are any notes present on that line or paragraph, they are retrieved and shown. The application is carefully designed so that the app does not get in the way of the users’ reading experience. en_US
