Abstract:
In this present era of technology, the cloud is providing us with many new opportunities in terms of computing applications. Cloud storage is one of the great features of cloud computing due to which we can store large amount of data that is available anywhere and on any device. Data is very important now days to organizations. The classic way to protect data becomes cost expensive due to management complexity. The advantage of cloud storage can be used to protect user data for any software corruption, hard drive crashes, theft and natural disasters. The aim of this project is to investigate how intelligent agents can work on user's behalf to protect their valuable documents and other digital resources. This will couple agents with a cloud environment (Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3) in order to produce an automatic backup tool in which the user provides their initial settings and the system then works in the background to protect their work. Our software which will be installed on end user's system will have an intelligent agent that will communicate with the agents on Amazon EC2 for automatic backup and files will be restored in a similar way. The evaluation of our system will be done on the basis of data backup. This evaluation will check that the data is safe, is retrieved successfully and is not accessed by any other user.
