Abstract:
To build a GSM network several components are required. To have successful interface and coordination among these components, careful planning and management is required. There are many issues regarding mobile communication such as interference, bandwidth utilization, mobility and speed etc. which have to be taken care of while operating a GSM network and the procedures involved during operation of a GSM network are not easy to understand at the very beginning.
This simulator demonstrates the basic operations involved in a typical GSM network. For the very beginners in GSM-networks, this tool provides considerable understanding of the concepts behind the GSM operations by clearly demonstrating the interaction among the components deployed.
The major tools for development is Visual Basic, this is used in order to develop most of the front end and database connectivity.
