dc.description.abstract In Pakistan there are no cell phones which have WiMAX hardware. This project is based on first adding WiMAX support on Android OS and then connecting WiMAX dongles directly with Android cell phones. In Android phones there is no support to connect a USB directly with the phone. USB drivers will be added to Android Kernel so that a USB can be connected directly with the Android phone without any intermediate host. Different techniques will be used to add WiMAX support in the Android emulator like HTC’s WiMAX Kernel, Cyanogenmod7 and CLEAR API. As the USB 2.0 standard will be followed to connect a USB with the Android phone any USB can be connected with the Android phone directly. en_US
