dc.description.abstract With the evolving of the digital world and internet, certain security issues have come into account. Issues such as proprietary copyright violation, malicious attacks using forged information (authentication violation), personal profile imitation etc. have been some of the major concerns of the modern world. Various researches have proposed different techniques as solutions to some of these problems. One of them is known as digital watermarking. It ranges from copyrighting visual media such as video streams / images to introducing hidden information in audio signals while also covering textual data watermarking in between. The techniques studied in this project are the Least Significant Bit (LSB) Watermarking, Digital Watermarking for Copyright Protection using the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), a Wavelet-Based Scheme for Watermarking Images using the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Novel Multiple Spatial Watermarking Technique in Color Images. This project aims at implementing a modification of the “Novel Multiple Spatial Watermarking Technique in Color Images” which is efficient in performance and provides security to the image from attacks like rotation and image compression to some extent. The technique is for invisible watermarking of digital images in the spatial domain. The format of the images used is JPEG/JPG and the watermarking retrieval method is non-blind. en_US
