Abstract:
The project entitled ‘Implementation of Information Security Management System’ in NUST SEECS lies in the information security domain and focuses on establishing the international standards of security measures in SEECS in order to achieve the ISO 27001 certification. The implementation of the standards includes vulnerability analysis of the data centre and resources present in SEECS, the risk analysis of the detected vulnerabilities, followed by appropriate solutions that will cater to the threats and vulnerabilities discovered. The process includes the documentation of the entire ISMS policy which is going to be implemented. This will make NUST SEECS the third university in the world to have achieved this certification.
