dc.description.abstract Tourism is frequently justified on the basis of its potential contribution to economy of a country . It maintains a peaceful image throughout the world. Currently, no effective mobile application is available that provides complete guidelines for enjoying and planning their trips. With the introduction of 3G and 4G cellular networks, internet is no more a problem. The Eagle Eye is GPS based augmented reality mobile application to assist the tourists in enjoying and planning their trips. The application offers multiple features that include Augmented Reality view, Navigation services, Search for places, maintaining Localpedia (Data to be used offnet), maintaining Wishlists, Weather updates and getting notifications of events and places. A complete android application has been developed successfully. Coding has been done in Java language using Android Studio integrated development environment (IDE). XML is used for defining layouts and interfaces. Database is used to store the information of places, maps and information about the visits. SQL Lite database has been used to maintain database. The Eagle Eye is a complete package for the tourists and people who have craze for travelling. en_US
