Andriod App for E-Services at New Islamabad Internationa Airport

Abstract

In today’s world more people are adopting traveling by air due to business, tourism and family requirements. In future, most of these potential passengers will use smartphones and tablets more than the internet usage through laptops or desktops. Keeping in view the future requirements, many airports like Heathrow, Bristol, Schiphol, Munich etc.provide state of the art mobile applications for their customers. However, currently no such facility exists in Pakistan. The proposed project will provide android based mobile application for various airport related features including airport map, location of various services on airport including specific airline counters, departure gates, restaurants, shops, customs, arrival hall etc. The mobile app will also provide information about flight status and respective gates. Additionally as new Islamabad Airport is in development phase, the proposed application will be made keeping in view the new infrastructure for future passenger’s facilitation through online mobile service.
