Abstract:
Smart classroom facilitates interactive and collaborative learning among students.
Real time interactive session is provided for distance learning. This is a
comprehensive solution designed to enhance students’ academic performance
with simple, practical and meaningful use of technology.
We provide an interactive interface for remote students. We have multiple
cameras to capture teacher events. Teacher’s live video is transmitted to remote
students through automatic selection of camera. We also transmit online student’s
video to classroom. Instructor’s slides are available to remote students. Student’s
attendance is managed through facial recognition. We also develop an android
based application for students so that they can attend online class through their
android app.
The project has different modules that are integrated to create an interactive
environment, modules include website for online classroom having teacher and
student end, automatic camera selection module that captures teachers’ events,
and attendance management system that marks attendance through facial
recognition.
