Real Estate Web Portal (Real Homes)

Abstract

During the last decade buying and selling of real estate has become a major business. Despite the fact that the world has been in a recession phase for the past two to three years; the real estate market has not been affected much. There are number of portals that already exist in this domain but the problem is that each of them offers distinct features and there was a need to make a comprehensive solution which serves all the needs of a customer at a single place. Secondly the businessmen doing real estate business are not aware of the fact that their online presence can improve their business many folds. RealHomes offers, up to date information, launching property for sale, rent and auction, creating estate agents‟ profile, Google Maps, newsletters, SMS alerts, email notifications, posting ads, bidding/auctions, mortgage calculator and searching all at a single place. The portal is designed using latest technologies to solve real estate business problems like: Ajax for making the customers‟ and estate agents‟ experience more interactive and rich, SQL Server for backups, Instant Messenger to minimize the communication gap, Google Maps for viewing property location. The project aimed to provide complete solutions of all real estate business problems using latest trends. At the successful completion of the project, RealHomes gives customers and real estate agents an interactive way to provide fast, easy and cost effective property dealings by providing all the features at a single place.
