Abstract:
In a rapidly changing e-commerce environment where everyone is lookout for smarter solutions that in turn help save time, restaurants are no exception. A dramatic increase has been seen in the number of restaurant owners using cutting edge technologies to improve order processing over the years. There are about over hundred and fifty restaurant order processing applications developed so far and many more spinning off.
The purpose of this project is to develop a restaurant order processing application that will help ease the order processing and management system at large. The aim is to successfully build an application which any restaurant owner anywhere in the world can use for taking orders and processing them efficiently and effectively. The application is build in iPhone.
The waiter punches in the order in an iPhone, clicks on the submit button after which it is displayed on the kitchen screen. When the order is prepared the waiter gets a notification to collect it and deliver. The customer can then ask the waiter to order more or ask for bill which is processed to the waiter. The waiter can check the status of any particular order anytime he/she wishes to. The manager on the other hand has access to all the data which he can set according to availability of food items, managing the waiters etc.
