dc.description.abstract Energy plays a very significant role for economic growth of any country. Defensible economic growth entails the ample and continual accessibility of energy. Pakistan is facing energy diffidence which is solemnly hampering the economic growth. The prime concern of power security is cognate with the accessibility of suitable power supply in consistent and economical way to meet future energy demands. Pakistan faces the perpetual issue of power theft. The issue worsens the economy of utilities and is pernicious to speculation in capacity enhancement of power grid. The solution is normally pursued through financial inoculation in capacity improvement, demand management and power control. However the implication of such solutions is still not taken due to lack of infrastructure and unfair management of system. The study insights some overview of the Blockchain; a new technology of the modern era and how this technology can help us in preventing power theft and electricity crisis. Blockchain is a network where each node is connected to another, creating a secure and reliable environment. Diverse practices of power theft are stated in this paper which can be vetoed through juncture of Blockchain and IOT devices. The research proposes architecture to control power theft by using Blockchain and IOT. In this study we have discussed the layered architecture, which shows the functionality of our proposed system at each layer. This research introduces different kinds of Blockchain architecture and consensus protocols, to propose a resilient and secure network for a definite area. Blockchain has the supremacy to completely redraft the way societies continue their functions. At the end of our study we have shown some results that how the power loss is detected .It has the potential to proliferate the efficiency and efficacy of various major sectors comprising of financial, public and socio-economic. It is essential to create realization of its prominence amongst people for acceptance so that the frugality of Pakistan can be improved. en_US
