Formalization to migrate a system from object oriented architecture to service oriented architecture

Abstract

Service-oriented architecture is becoming popular now a days because of its structure which exposes the hidden functions within the applications and attempts to open them for all applications. In this research, the framework for migrating object oriented architectures into web service-based architecture has been proposed. This research is completed by maintaining organization’s old systems architecture and data during migration to service oriented architecture. This is of higher advantage to both the organizations and their customer. The most important way for this is actually very simple: applications are split into reusable services, which have public interfaces. In order to achieve this purpose of migration we have created a framework that accepts input of object oriented architecture, and rules of migration are applied to transform the system to SOA. This research aims at proposing a framework for migrating object oriented architectures to service oriented architecture with the introduction of rules for transformation.
