dc.description.abstract In the construction industry, it is preferred that a structure should have long life along with low maintenance costs. The Structures which are in contact with Moisture and Water are prone to destabilization due to the corrosion effect of steel reinforcement. This study project focuses on the use of Glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars in structures which are directly in contact with water and moisture. For this purpose, we will compare the behavior of Steel reinforcement and GFRP bars reinforcement in a Hydraulic Water Tank. Both of them will be compared on different parameters, For example; Strength, Durability and Cost effectiveness. The study will list all the advantages and disadvantages of using GFRP bars in Structures. en_US
