Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Domestic Construction Projects using House of Quality

Abstract

Our final year project is based on the quality assurance and quality control of domestic building projects in Pakistan. The tool that we have used for this is the house of quality which falls under the banner of quality function deployment. Application of house of quality in construction projects is our USP because this is the first time that this tool is being applied to project management as it has only been applied to process management to date. Since our project is one of its kind, hence it was done under limited resources and lack of prior work so there is a lot of room for improvement. HoQ focuses on quality only ignoring the output towards cost and scope hence it is suggested that this research be continued on the diverse sectors of construction industry and inclusion of time, cost and scope factors in project management at later stages.
