dc.description.abstract Geothermal energy is clean and sustainable energy which can be harvested and utilized in many ways. Unfortunately, in Pakistan, the field of geothermal energy has been neglected to a substantial level. Utilization of geothermal energy in heating and cooling of buildings can significantly reduce utility costs in terms of heating and cooling. This energy can answer the ever increasing energy demand, cost saving and sustainability issues. This project aims at introducing the possibility of this low utility cost system in Pakistan and the study of its efficiency for the humid sub-tropical climatic conditions of Islamabad and Rawalpindi region. en_US
