Procurement Methods in Construction Industry of Pakistan: Creating an Online Plateform for the Procurement of Construction Services

Abstract

In order to properly inquire about the current practices in Pakistan’s construction industry, this study aims to conduct a study of obtaining construction services in the present era. The idea of developing an information pool of local contractors has also been forwarded where complete business details will be available and clients can approach them according to the work they want to accomplish. The construction Industry of Pakistan is still using old methods of procurement, and up till now, no web based platform exists which does nothing to shrink the communication gaps between the contractors and the clients. The study is principally conducted through surveys and interviews, and the extracted data will then serve as a major component in the comparison of practices and the development of a web based platform itself.
