The vehicular demand has been increasing tremendously and it has become extremely difficult to accommodate them. Traditional parking poses many problems to the users due to which people don’t use them to their fullest capacity. A Smart Parking can provide solution to the problems which are commonly faced by the users of traditional parking systems. But for the impeccable operation of a smart parking, a more vigorous Facility Management approach is needed. The Facility Managers of a smart parking need to have an immediate access of all information which may be of any importance while repairing or maintaining any smart gadget. This project aims to employ Open Building Information Modeling for the purpose since, as compared to traditional Closed Building Information Modeling, it presents many benefits to the Facility Managers, the biggest one of which is seamless information sharing across multiple platforms. This research presents a framework for extracting all Facility Management related data through Building Information Modeling that can be used for Facility Management purposes. |
