Abstract:
My project comes in the domain of Distributed Computing. Distributed Computing has three major emerging areas which include Web Services Framework, Grid Computing and Multi Agent Systems. The Web Services Framework is based on the principles of service oriented computing for providing loosely coupled implementation and heterogeneous resources. Grid computing is an open, heterogeneous and highly dynamic environment based on the principles of service oriented computing. It focuses on the basic infrastructure for coordinated resource sharing among Virtual Organizations to achieve high performance and availability. The basic Grid Computing infrastructure has evolved to OGSA (Open Grid Services Architecture) by adopting the Web Services Framework. On the other hand, Multi Agent Systems focus on systems in which intelligent software agents interact with each other in order to satisfy their interests. The agents are autonomous entities that can control their own state.
The Multi Agent Systems use their own encoding specifications which are not widely accepted. On the other hand, Web Services use XML as a basis for communication where XML is a widely accepted standard for communication in a distributed environment.
Therefore, in order to provide interoperability between Multi Agent Systems and the Web Services Framework, the aim is to make Web Services a part of the Multi Agent System. Our aim is to design and develop a Service Oriented Computing compliant Multi Agent System.
The proposed solution for the given is to design and develop the architecture of a WSDL Parser for service oriented computing which will solve the problem of interoperability between a FIPA compliant Multi Agent System and the W3C Web Services Framework without changing the existing specifications.
