dc.description.abstract Competition in the CRM, driven by the globalization and the advent of World Wide Web, has increased by tremendous amounts. Customers have variety of choices and most importantly they have become more knowledgeable and demanding. It is not a myth that a customer is a ‘King’. Keeping this in mind, enterprises and businesses world wide have realized that it is not just enough to satisfy and delight them but to build genuine relationships that could benefit them. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives are designed with the goal of meeting customer expectations and needs in order to achieve maximum customer lifetime value and returns to the business. The use of several CRM products, CRM solutions will enhance the effective implementation of CRM in any business today. There are many CRM success stories but the success in its implementation may best be measured by the amount of restraint an organization shows in its goals and expectations. By the provision of means to manage and co-ordinate customer interactions, Customer Relationship Management technology helps enterprise maximize the value to every customer interaction and in turn drive the corporate performance. This has motivated us to come up with such an application that should not only aim at providing the core functionalities of any conventional CRM, but also maximize returns to a business in terms of profits and customer retention.
