Developing an Intelligent Platform for Web-Based Construction Contract Management and Poverty Alleviation

Abstract

There are more than 20 million laborers in Pakistan who rely on conventional method to acquire a livelihood. Most of them do not get livelihood after spending hours on the roads. Labors in Pakistan are mainly the victims of being below the poverty line. The main reason is that so many labors have been unable to find the daily work due to lack of communication lines between them and clients. Contractor earns most of the commission ignoring the poor labors. The idea of EasyTameer is mainly focused on the labor sector. EasyTameer, through its portals will provide easy opportunities for the labors to get the daily jobs through direct communication with clients which will be just a click away. Along with the labors, EasyTameer will also manage the construction projects through its portal and app-based system. An owner of the construction company can easily make contact and connections to the clients. Eliminating the struggles of communication, the contractors and clients can always stay in touch throughout the project using EasyTameer. The study is principally conducted through surveys and interviews, and the extracted data will then serve as a major component in the comparison of practices and the development of a web-based platform itself.
