SEECS Inventory Management and Tracking System

Abstract

This project intends to automate the Inventory System of NUST- SEECS. This project brings ease in managing the inventory of the university. Currently the inventory is managed manually which requires a lot of the paperwork and wastage of time and cost. The whole problems of the manual system should be solved by the automated Inventory Management Control System. NUST-SEECS is in process of developing its complete ERP system to help better utilization and management of its human and other resources. This ERP system consists of many modules which SEECS ERP software team will develop in next one or two years of time period with modular approach. The university automation system for inventory provides ease and quick brings about managing the university inventory. The activities in managing the inventory may be to keep the record about the whole of the inventory, their issue, their breakage etc. According to the present system the whole of the records are maintained manually which has its own known disadvantages. It requires manual updating of the inventory records and altogether current status of inventory requires a lot effort and time.
