dc.description.abstract DC-DC converter offers a method of generating multiple controlled voltages from a single voltage source. This results in saving of space in a device as the designer does not have to use multiple batteries to supply different voltages to different parts of the device. It is used in portable devices such as cellular phones, laptops, etc. Military grade dc to dc converters are designed according to the specifications given using the software “Multi-sim 10” and hardware prototypes of these dc to dc converters are made on the Vero board for Kamra Avionics and Radar Factory (KARF) which are to be used in aircraft circuitry. This project comes under the domain of power electronics, which is the combination of power, electronics and control. Five important factors were kept in mind while making these converters; a) cost, b) size, c) stability, d) weight, e) reliability The simulated designs of the dc to dc converter at low power are verified on the hardware. But for high power the required results are not correctly achieved due to the required inductors not available in the market. en_US
