dc.description.abstract Now a days shopping is the most popular activity all around the world. The fashion industry is greatly dependent on in store activity, where the customers try on cloths in large amount. In order to facilitate the customers and to increase the amount of clothes one can try in short time, we are implementing a technology which will take the place of changing cloths physically in try rooms. To make the lifestyle of shopping more convenient and comfortable we are introducing a system TryOn. Our system is an augmented reality dressing room which will enable the customers to changes cloths while standing in front of the screen in real time. This technology is available in certain advance countries but is not yet introduced in Pakistan. This thing will give us first mover advantage which means we have no competition right now for this project in our country. The mechanism we are using in our project is based on augmented reality as mentioned above. For this purpose, latest version of Microsoft Kinect is used which will provide us with depth data of human body and the skeleton points. The human body will be tracked and the cloths model designed in 3D Maya will be adapted to the body using Unity. To give this scenario a real feel the animations of the cloths will be according to the human body movement. The stretches and folds in the cloths will be neatly simulated so that the customer can have more actual sense of the dress he/she wants to buy. The system will contain different design of dresses for ladies and gents both with different sizes like small, medium, large etc. The problem usually occurs when the cloths are unstitched. To experience how unstitched fabric will look we will also provide generic models on which the color or design pattern of the cloth will be mapped. The scope of this product can be recognized from the size of the retail industry of Pakistan. More and more brands are attracted all over Pakistan and each brand has an average of 22 branches all over Pakistan. en_US
