dc.description.abstract Lead-Acid batteries have become an integral part of our daily lives. Every household use battery in one way or another, mostly in cars to start the engine or in UPS nowadays. In order to monitor the health of a battery, one needs an efficient device that provides all relevant information regarding the battery. At the moment, the person has to physically go to a battery expert to get the health of the batteries checked. This tends to be a very difficult process as it consumes time and energy. In this project, we propose an internet of things (IOT) based solution to this problem that allows us to monitor the health and running statistics of Lead-Acid battery at any given time and place. Battery’ Doctor is a portable, cost effective and battery wearable device powered by Android Application, which eliminates the need of a mechanic or a mechanical setup for battery testing. The device captures and sends live as well as stored battery statistics data via Bluetooth, which gets processed at the Android Applications back-end for automatic display of battery’s State of Health (SOH) along-with other features. There are two main components of our project. Hardware component; designed to provide, store and communicate accurate readings of battery temperatures, currents and voltages. Software component; Android application which displays live statistics and performs data analytics for state of health (SOH) and state of charge (SOC). This project is in collaboration with AdLab Solutions. en_US
