dc.description.abstract Gaming is the most important form of entertainment. It is what keeps you moving through the hectic and stressful daily activities’. VR gaming is revolutionizing the gaming industry. Hand tracking with VR is the next best thing in gaming. Unfortunately, VR gaming with hand tracking isn’t cheap and affordable for majority of gamers by any means. Also, most hand tracking devices e.g. Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality headsets are too costly and require high end smartphones costing at least 400$.Thus, mainstream VR gaming with hand tracking and hand tracking has a high price. That’s where “ESCAPE THE DUNGEON” comes in... The purpose of this project is to create a VR based game “Escape The Dungeon” with hand tracking which caters for the dire need of providing the same VR and Hand tracking gaming experience to the low-budget gamers as well. Thus reaching out to as many users as we can and keeping the experience as interactive as possible. The project is an escape room VR puzzle game. “Escape the dungeon” submerges the user in a 3D virtual dungeon where players find themselves trapped. This game exploits Virtual reality and hand motion technologies to provide the user, the best VR game experience. The players can interact with the objects, hear the sounds of objects in the dungeon ,explore the entire dungeon setting and immerse themselves in it in order to find an exit to the dungeon. From smallest element in a game like miscellaneous environment objects to the main puzzle elements in game, everything will keep the user hooked. The entire dungeon environment, the sounds and lighting and the user interaction all combine to make “Escape the Dungeon” en_US
