Abstract:
Now a days shopping is the most popular activity all around the world. Buying a furniture is the most time taking and difficult task. In order to facilitate the customers by letting them picture the furniture in their rooms in real time, we are implementing a technology which will let them place furniture wherever they want. To make the lifestyle of shopping more convenient and comfortable we are introducing a system Ghar Sajao. Our system is an augmented reality based solution for furniture placement which will enable the customers to place furniture of their choice and see how it looks in real time. This technology is available in certain advance countries but is not yet introduced in Pakistan. This thing will give us first mover advantage which means we have no competition right now for this project in our country.
The mechanism we are using in our project is based on augmented reality as mentioned above. For this purpose, AR Core development environment is being used. The plane will be tracked and the furniture model designed will be adapted to the surface using Unity. To give this scenario a real feel the animations of the models will be according to plane, one can rotate, add and delete the models in real time.
