Pakistan is a developing country with a quadruple disease burden. It spends a fraction of its whole budget on Health Care. It is estimated that Private health care sector provides 70% of health care services. Mental Health care in Pakistan is the least cared topic. There is a tremendous need for better utilization of mental health care through therapy and consultation to prevent problems like: Depression, moodiness, suicidal thoughts, anger-related issues, fear and anxiety etc. In Pakistan, the number of people suffering from common mental health disorders is around 50 million. Not only that, the ratio of patient-to-doctor in Pakistan is lowest in word. A gaping void is present in the form of absence of a well-recognized platform to provide online counseling. Breaking down these barriers, our platform aims to revolutionize the Pakistani health care industry as the first online counseling platform in the country, helping psychologists to find the patients and patients to find good psychologists. It also enables its users to give and take therapy in the environment of their own personal choice. Our platform also aims to create a new channel for the mental health care industry to reach out to its customers (patients) via digital media. People of Pakistan form a nation that is worth caring for and we believe it is our social responsibility to help them. By educating people about their mental health issues and providing an easily assessable and reliable platform, our platform aims to do exactly that. |
