dc.description.abstract Tactile Fingerspelling Glove is a device that automates Tactile Fingerspelling Language. The problem with conventional Fingerspelling Language is that people need to be specially trained (in it) in order to communicate with deaf-blind people. The aim of this project was to remove this need of learning a new language all together by automating the process of communication adopted by Tactile Fingerspelling Language. The Glove lets a healthy person communicate with a deaf-blind person just like he would communicate with any other person, simply by uttering words in English language. The Glove and associated Android app does all the magic by converting the spoken English into the understandable gestures of Tactile Fingerspelling Language for the deaf-blind person. The solution is a novel idea and quite economical as compared to other solutions available for deaf-blind communication. Also, this product is wearable, portable and light weight. It is an ordinary looking glove with some extra-ordinary capabilities. The product is built using SimbleeTM and Android. en_US
