Abstract

Modern hand held devices such as smart phones have become increasingly powerful in recent years. Extraordinary breakthroughs in processing power with extra features included in these devices have opened the doors to a wide range of commercial possibilities. However, these extra features and processing power is of no use if we don‟t use them precisely. Nevertheless, with the availability of internet and smart phones there are very few apps that keep us up to date with the world we live in. As mobile devices have replaced our daily routine items like cameras, mp3 players, PCs (laptops), etc. in short these things are used to accomplish our daily tasks but smartphones have taken their place. One application that exactly falls into this category is “NEWS AND VIEWS” developed for Android phones. The prime objective of “NEWS AND VIEWS” is to provide Android user experience of replacing Televisions as well, as our app gathers news from the different news channels and displays it on single platform. Moreover, users would also be able to find their favorite talk shows and news of their interest like entertainment, sports, politics, etc. Users will have multiple options like to watch talk show/news or if they only need audio they can just simply click the button “switch to audio” to save their internet bandwidth. At the back end the main purpose of the app is to model the behavior of the user depending on search history.
