dc.description.abstract Eatphant proposes a solution to the different problems that everyone faces at the restaurants. Whenever people visit restaurants, they are in a constant hustle to find a suitable restaurant with quality food and then trying to reserve a table on that restaurant. The problems that customers and restaurants face is that the current rush at the restaurant is not known and it is even harder to manage all the orders at the restaurant. Eatphant, a web solution, provides the services to customers as well as the restaurants for managing their respective times and deals. Eatphant’s application comprises of two systems, one for the restaurant (the admin side) and the other for the consumers (the client side/customer side). The admin side of the application will be a web application which will be managed by the receptionist of the restaurant who will identify the number of tables available at a specific time and the menu of the restaurant/special of the day menu. The receptionist will book the tables and pre-order any food according to the time provided by the consumer and the consumers can also pre-order for take away food. The user/customer side of the application is an Android application which will allow the user to select the restaurant and show the users the tables available and menu of the restaurant, so the user can book according to their needs. The user side will provide all the options of selecting the menu and view discounts available and selecting a time for the booking and the order. The android side of the application will also have a feedback system for rating the restaurant environment, behavior of the staff and food. This will help other users know about the restaurant’s reputation among users. en_US
