Food Struck (Reinventing Restaurant’s Experience)

Abstract

Time is the most critical asset of millennial in 21st century. They are always looking for innovative ways to save their time and manage it in an efficient manner. Sadly, there are several inevitable factors in our society that accounts for loss of valuable time; this is where Food Struck steps in. Food Struck is an ingenious platform and a self-contained product system to reinvent the experience of ordering for the millennial customers, who frequently visit the restaurants, by allowing them to dynamically, order food. Food Struck will also provide its customers with the ranking of famous dishes of different restaurants, which will help restaurants to improve their inventory. The system does not only offer a dynamic ordering experience for the users but it also provides the restaurant administration with automated and runtime inventory management and analytics related to the dishes. The project is predominately product based with one research-based aspect used to provide sales forecast using data related to the number of hourly orders received along with the temperature information about the day. The system is concise and provides many solutions to the restaurant for optimal resource allocation as well as reinvents the restaurant experience for the consumers. The system requires a certain amount of infrastructure to be present before it can be implemented. The following sections shed light on the prerequisites of the system also mentioning the tentative technologies that might be used in such a system while carefully discussing the significance of the human factors involved and the applicability of the parts of this system to ensure effective functionality of the system.
