In many hospitals, patients and visitors often suffer from situation in which the
hospital receptionists are not available or unable to give critical information in
appropriate time, such as availability of services, doctors or equipment. Solving this
problem will save precious time, and in some cases, also aid life-threatening
emergencies. Our proposed system, Telephonic Hospital Assistant, is an automatic
assistant that answers telephone calls of patients/potential visitors and relays required
information in Urdu language as well as make appointments with doctors. The system
can be used all over Pakistan and can be integrated with hospitals that have a real-time
database of doctors, services and equipment. The system will significantly cut down
the time required for visitors/inquirers to get necessary information and help improve
efficiency of the working of hospitals, and will remove the need for people to actually
visit the hospital to get answers to their queries. |
