Compilation of MCE Civil Engineering Handout for site Engineers

Abstract

Civil engineering is a multi-dimensional field which poses numerous challenges on the team of designers and their implementors. Non availability of a specific guidebook and lack of experience cause a lot of damage in terms of quality and time period of the project. Being specific, Sapper officers of Corps of Engineers after completing their Civil engineering degree from MCE when reaches back into unit are usually employed as a Project officer. Due to lack of experience they face extreme difficulties in producing quality and quick construction on site. There arises a need of a handout for a freshly passed out civil engineering graduate which could help them in implementation of small scale projects on ground without compromising on quality and time. The handout was compiled after consulting famous civil engineering handouts and further refined by the kind supervision of project Advisor and Co Advisors. The handout consists of several details which could help engineer in quick estimation, storage of materials, setting out, termite proofing, formwork and do`s and don`ts during concreting. It would be very handful for freshly passed out graduates to perform their tasks efficiently. The handout can be further improved in future by giving the same project to students of next degree course and has the potential to be the MCE Handout for Civil Engineers.
