dc.description.abstract |
The purpose of the project is to develop a spreadsheet for the design of Box culvert to overcome the limitations of other design software like SAP2000 and Et Culvert. The limitations in SAP 2000 is that; moving load is considered in center onlyso corner moments are not actual moments according to the requirement. In Et Culvert there is a limitation for span length, which should be kept uniform for all cells. This spreadsheet is developed for a multi-cell culvert (max 4) with the flexibility ofspan, using LRFD AASHTO provisions. The spreadsheet has been designed considering the serviceability and strength limit states. Class AA military tankhas also been included in vehicle selection option. |
