dc.description.abstract This project is about the design of microcontroller based Automatic Multistoried Car Parking System. Multistoried car parking can be utilized to park a large number of vehicles in least possible place. High technological instruments are required to implement the project. A prototype model has been developed. This prototype model is developed for parking eighteen cars at a time. Database is used for checking vacancy status of slots. A stepper motors controlled elevator is used to lift the cars. Elevator status is indicated by LED which is placed on ground floor. Controlling of the platforms and checking the vacancies is done by micro controller. For retrieval of car, the logic developed for parking of car is reversed to make motors move the elevator in reverse motion. Automation is essential for reducing space requirement which provides highest security and greatest flexibility. These advantages make this system quite useful for crowded places. en_US
