Theta A Real-Time Comparison Based Exam Preparatory Portal

Abstract

We are living in a time when technology is providing solutions for almost all our problems whether they be related to business, education, health, or security. Over the past couple of years the number of educational apps has increased exponentially and the reason is that majority of these apps allow a user the flexibility to learn at their own pace and provide valuable analytics on their performance. Theta is an exam preparatory portal that is being targeted at students looking to apply to universities. The main aim behind the portal is to mitigate difficulties faced by students in preparing for entrance exams. Theta has been developed after thoroughly analyzing existing solutions, survey of targeted user base and will be built with special focus on self-paced study, customization according to user’s needs, and complete analysis of performance. This document gives a detailed review of the pre-development phase, the competitor and market surveys, the road leading to development, the implementation phase, a detailed overview of the system architecture of the Theta web app, and finally a detailed description of the testing phase followed by future work.
