Implementing applications with wireless networking in which sensor data is sent to the destination through inter-networking of nodes is becoming commonplace. From consumer devices to industrial applications, our devices will be useful as they have the ability to talk to each other without a hard-wired connection.
This Project looks forward to automate, control and locate faults of nodes connected together in form of a wireless network through sensor based nodal networking. Status of the nodes whether active or inactive will be transmitted over the network so that when a node sets off due some fault, it should be located easily. Data from sensors will be collected and sent to the distant destination through intermediate nodes called coordinators. Coordinators are specified to route the information of sensors to the destination. They would be intelligent enough to manage inter-routing and collision avoidance and would reliably route the data to destination from where user can monitor and also control the environment through actuators.
The project could be applied and used in multiple scenarios. For example it could help to find out the accurate status of street lights and traffic lights alike. Security fire alarm system could also be connected together through nodal based sensor networking. The information about some parameters of environment like temperature, intrusion detection would be sent from any end device to the distant destination node through routing from intermediate nodes. In this way, various environmental parameters will be sensed by wirelessly transmitting their information to the destination node. |
