dc.description.abstract No one wants to compromise on security. In the current security infrastructure, high value assets are protected inadequately by antiquated technology systems or by reliance on intensive human concentration to detect threats. Surveillance systems equipped with latest technology are highly expensive. Not everyone wants to spend a lot of money for surveillance purposes. So, the requirement is a surveillance system that is inexpensive as well as task efficient involving the technology so that it does not put the lives and high value assets of people at stake. The surveillance system which we are designing serves the purpose. Our product enables user to have a 360° panoramic view of a place to be monitored using rotating thermal camera and the normal camera. It also detects and tracks the objects in the field of view and gives a polar view of place under surveillance. In contrast to other surveillance systems, it is inexpensive and very much task efficient. This project is sponsored by NESCOM and the target was to complete this project in the period of ten months within the funds they allocated and with their desired features of the product. en_US
