dc.description.abstract Our project targets the domain of bioinformatics to strengthen health systems for delivering better care to people with neurological disorders. Our focus is to bridge the treatment gap faced by neurological patients all over the world by allowing convenient access to EEG which is considered a gold standard by neurologists for their diagnosis and treatment. We aim to bring into shape a wearable EEG recording machine that is highly responsive, compact, and user friendly. It will serve as means for the physicians to perform better diagnosis and monitoring of neurological patients. It also improves patient mobility as compared to wired and cumbersome systems. Instead of a routine clinical EEG which requires lengthy hospital stays, NeuroCorder is capable of monitoring critical EEG data at home. NeuroCorder is a low cost medical grade EEG recording device which gives reliable and repeatable results. Our device consists of a data acquisition module which is a Brain-Computer Interface using ADS1299 multichannel ADC. The two major customer segments we target are the patients and the neurologists. But it does not end here, as it can be used for a variety of other applications like biometric authentication, sleep monitoring and neuro-hacking. en_US
