Platform to Link Care Taker and Parents

Abstract

Platform to link care taker and parents is our final year project. As name explains it is a platform to link you with your babysitter. As our daily life is busy, hectic and fast, to cater your baby in this fast pace life either you spare some time only dedicated for child or hire someone who can do such thing. Most parents both mother and father belong to working class and they don’t have enough time to look after their child. Alongside almost everything is being controlled or monitored by internet like booking a flight, restaurant, etc… So why not there should be a platform where parents can look for available caretaker in their community and avail their services. Our target audience is Norwegian community as in their country there is no such system for hiring caretaker online. Register yourself as caretaker and parent upon login can hire you. There are search filters for parent to hire a caretaker. Feedback encourages care taker abilities and expertise. We have developed a web platform for our problem for Norwegian community. We have designed mySql database to store information related to parent and care taker and the services we are providing in this platform. We have used MVC (Model View Controller) to develop this platform using Php codeigniter framework. Parent can see location of caretaker on map. There are various platform related to this issue but majorly focused on disease treatments and suggestions i.e caring ties, mobicare and Indian base web portal named bookmybai.com. As discussed earlier our intended audience is Norwegian community so there is not such solution addressing this problem of caring child. So, there is huge scope of this web based platform. Designing such system we came across many problems as everyone asked us, what is the scope of this application in Pakistan? We answered firstly it is addressing community of Norway and secondly in the long run this application will find its feet in Pakistan. In the future this idea can be turned into business, as now a days Careem and Uber is running. Turning this idea into business would take huge effort but it is worth it because as growing level of education and working environment, in future both parents will be working in Pakistan as well. We have proposed our solution in which parent can easily avail services of caretaker using internet. We are confident and sure in our effort, what we have put in this to make our project worth and running.
