Abstract:
In the present era the world we live in, we are in a fast paced lorry which is never going to stop, the economic era is at boom and eco-social changes are happening around us while I write this. To cope and stay in competition, it is important to understand your competition and then stay firm enough to beat it up. The problem of optimizing inventory, maximizing profits and reducing cost is rising as retailers in Pakistan. Our project mainly does this for the retail business owners who have set up huge outlets and laid eyes on competition and are eager to optimize themselves accordingly to boost up there sales and enhance their customer relation overall. Every breakpoint of a well-established business is the bottleneck of keeping loyalty with customers and to keep track of the trends and insights their sales are generating in order to carry on by maximizing their sales in an optimized manner.
This final year project “Data Driven Supply Chain Analytics” is actually the course setter for all the retail business, whether it is online or is a physical entity (Clicks and Bricks business model), who want something intriguing out of considerable amount of data they are generating. Currently there is no such product working in the Pakistan that shows what we are actually unto, the idea is unique and up-to-date in Pakistan. Abstractly the main solution that this we are proposing is to collect transactional and logs data by various means and to process the data to generate insights and trends that can help us to optimize thebusiness. The target audience of our project are retail business owners and corporate sector. Data would be collected from the businesses after ingesting their data sources, transforming,governing and modelling their data source onto our cloud data warehouse and then feeding that data to our analytical tools and models where after playing with the data, we would be able to generate reports after much brainstorming in order to extract useful information. The useful information extracted will be used for post processing in which some statistic will be shown using graphs that will show relation of various types that can help us understand how to optimize business.
