Abstract:
Hospitals need to share and query their data with other hospitals for getting improved knowledge. The online sharing of hospital data may be best practiced through Ontology as compared to simple relational databases or XML, as Ontology can represent the information in a more refined manner. RDF based Ontology represents data instances through Class hierarchies and properties. But the problem lies in the Integration of ontologies representing hospital data and during querying them. Integration of Ontologies may produce semantic heterogeneity that needs to be removed. Semantic Heterogeneity is the interpretation of data in different ways by different people. Also different people may represent the same information in different ways that need to be focused during Integration. The system helps in removing the differences between the Ontologies and mapping the same properties of Integrating RDF Schema Files. The mapped information for two hospital ontologies should be stored that can be used for querying shared ontologies. The ontology shared and mapped file information should be efficiently cached in order to deal the dynamicity of shared ontology.
