Abstract:
FingerPay, the Triple A payment system with seamless biometric authentication, is an innovative
system introduced to remove the need for tangible means of transaction or specialized hardware
that is expensive to obtain. The system revolves around the concept of using the fingerprint
saved on one’s smartphone, for three purposes; A uthentication of user, A uthorization of
payment, and A ccounting of transactions.
This report describes the analysis, design and implementation of the Triple A payment system, as
well as the analysis of the current solutions in the market and their comparison. The report
describes how the system can be used for multiple cases of transactions in the current market.
Pakistan is advancing as the world of technology progresses. Various payment systems, apart
from cash based transactions, have been introduced in order to make payments easier and secure.
However, every payment system introduced either charges a hefty fee, requires some physical
item (Credit card, smart card etc.) or requires expensive specialized hardware.
Our solution provides customers and merchants with a fast, easy to use, secure payment system
that uses no specialized expensive hardware and does not charge any major fees on transactions.
All payments can be easily carried out using a single touch of the fingerprint on your
smartphone.
Our solution was created for android devices, and implemented using modular approach for
easier unit testing and smoother integration. Almost all functionalities proposed in the System
Requirements Specification were implemented.
The report also discusses the future work to be carried out on the project, which includes, but is
not limited to: Implementation of the application in a real world scenario and Integration of
credit card API’s and Direct transfer from bank account, for easier Deposit and Withdrawal from
the application.
