Abstract:
There is a drift towards industrial IoT globally but its significance in Pakistan is still unrealized. IoT will have a potential economic impact of up to $6.2 trillion by 2025 and a potential to drive productivity across $36 trillion in operating costs. Pakistan is a growing industrial region and in 2006, there were more than 6 million reported industrial units in Pakistan with a contribution to GDP of over Rs. 1 trillion. Our solution aims at increasing the efficiency and hence the profit of these industrial units so that our Industry can compete well in the global market.
BA-ILM gathers data through low power, long range LoRa wireless sensor network & employs data analytics using Business Intelligence tools for efficient decision making in industrial IoT applications. The solution will consist of three major components. The end nodes will sense the data from all the locations deemed important by our customers via various sensors such as RTDs and will transmit it to a LoRaWAN gateway. The gateway will be responsible for collecting the data from numerous end nodes and syncing it to the cloud. Once the data is warehoused in the cloud it can be viewed by the user using Business Analytical tools for effective decision making.
