dc.description.abstract Green concrete is generally composed of recycled materials as complete or partial replacement for aggregates, cement, and admixture. Crushed stone is obtained as a by-product during the production of aggregates through the crushing process of rocks in rubble crusher units. By using this by-product as a substitute of sand in construction materials would resolve the problems caused by the large-scale depletion of the natural sources of river and mining sands. This experimental study is undertaken to investigate the influence of partial replacement of sand with crushed stone, along with marble slurry powder as an additive on the concrete properties During the study, 108 x concrete cylinders and 18 x prisms are prepared / casted in which 25% to 50% sand was replaced by crushed stone in regular increments and in the same way 10% & 20% marble slurry was also added separately as well as used with combinations of 25% and 50% crushed stone replacements. The samples are tested as per ASTM standards for compressive test, tensile splitting test, slump test, flexural strength test, XRF and modulus of elasticity test. The results of this study are used for finding optimum mix which gives the best mechanical properties in different tests along with the reduction in cost of concrete preparation. en_US
