dc.description.abstract A topological index is a graph invariant that characterizes a molecular compound's topology. It is a type of molecular descriptor determined from a graph of a molecular compound. Recently, because of their growing range in the eld of chemistry, topological indices have gained more signi cance. Non-self-centrality (NSC) number is a graphical invariant which measures the nonself- centrality graphs. Earlier the upper and lower bounds on NSC number have been calculated and the graphs on which these bounds are attained have also been characterized. In this thesis we computed the NSC number of some nanotubes. We also determined trees with largest NSC number in the class of maximum xed degree trees. en_US
