For development of any country energy is one of the important factors. It is necessary for the industrial revolution. So, energy is one of the main and important cost factors for every industry because of energy crisis, un-even management as well as high fuel charges. Textile industry Pakistan largest export industry which plays vital role in country economy. Basically, textile mill involves the most complicated manufacturing processes which start from the raw cotton bails and leads to fine quality cloth. The textile sector is one of the main energy consumers among all other industrial sectors. Inside the textile mill, major portion is spinning unit according to electrical power consumption where a lot of spaces available for energy saving. Therefore, the assessment of electrical energy losses provides scope of electrical energy saving in different utilities and processes of textile industry. By evaluation of electrical energy consumption and losses, significant cost saving is achieved which lead to improving profitability and competitiveness. This thesis presents the impact of different kind of drives, machines processes and electrical power losses on power system in textile industry is discussed and compared with practical data. |
