dc.description.abstract This thesis discusses the topic of laminar flow in the boundary layer and heat transfer for MHD fluid flow owing to a stretched sheet and changing heat flux. Thermal conductivity and viscosity varies with temperature. The equations stated in PDEs govern the problem. Similarity variables are used to convert PDEs into the system of ODEs. The ODEs are then solved utilizing bvp4c in the MATLAB. The effects of several factors, including magnetic parameter M, Eckert number Ec, S is the unsteadiness parameter, Darcy number , with some other parameters that affect the temperature and velocity profiles, and the heat transfer coefficients (local Nusselt number and skin friction coefficient), are investigated. Using bvp4c technique, the numerical results are achieved in tabular form. Then later compared with existing research in the literature. It can be found that depending on the parameter, the local Nusselt number, momentum and thermal boundary layer thickness and skin friction coefficient all have varying effects. iv en_US
