Contemporary smart-grid based distribution network have an interconnected topology aiming at reliable supply to the consumers. For such system this research work proposes an improved voltage stability index (VSI) for not only decreasing losses but also increasing loss minimization cost. In this research work, an improved VSI and loss minimization-based approach is presented aiming at various assets (by type, sitting and sizzing) placement and respective techno-economic objectives evaluations. The approach is evaluated across two different load growth horizons, accounted for 5 years each on a IEEE 33-bus mesh system. All the simulations are performed on Matlab/Simulink environment. The achieved numerical results are compared to the reported works and found in close approximation, hence validating the proposed approach. |
